5th Anniversary Contest and Crimson Skateboards Demo
Thank you to everyone that came out to skate in or support others at our 5th Anniversary Contest! We had over 70 people compete, and countless other people there just watching everything go down.
Cruz Vigil took the beginner division with a big bag of tricks including a full cab over the hip and a boardslide on the across rail. The intermediate divison had a whole lot going on, and it was hard for the judges to pick the top 3. Beaver Flemming kills a transition... and this contest was no different with inverts, backside airs, and some crazy early grab 360s. Dee Ostrander mixed it up by skating the rail with a stylish front board, a whole lot of tricks over the hip including a perfect b/s flip, and jumped down the big pyramid doing a huge ollie and b/s 180. Cole Auville pulled out some of the most consistent skating of the day... linking tricks together in all of his runs. Lip-slides, b/s flips, smith grinds, and pretty much landing every trick he tried earned him 1st place!
Advanced was a whole lot of fun to watch as always... and Kris Markovich and James Atkin from Crimson Skateboards were nice enough to help judge (Thanks Guys!!). Alex Longcamp came in from out of town repping DC shoes, and killed it with blunt-shov, kickflip frontboard, 5-0 180 out, a whole lot of flip tricks on the hip taking 3rd place. 2nd place went to mr. Andy Ferro who had a huge bag of tricks up his sleve... and would have won best style if there was a prize for it. A few tricks he landed in his final run include back smith rainbow rail, big flip hip, 540 big spin hip, 360 flip tail-grab, and a huge kickflip shifty. Colt Hall took 1st place skating probably every part of the park, and linking tricks together all over the place. He threw down a HUGE frontside air, smith grind across rail, kickflip-indy, 270 front board, ollied the huge pyramid... the list goes on.

1st - Colt Hall
2nd - Andy Ferro
3rd - Alex Longcamp
